A Message to Our Canadian Friends

We are saddened by the recent news from B.C. Easter Seals Society that two of their three summer camps are closed this summer.

We know how much our campers look forward to days filled with laughter and evenings spent around the campfire singing songs and making s’mores.  For many, this one week each year is the only time they get to swim, dance, go bowling, ride horses or just enjoy sipping a glass of fresh lemonade with their friends under the shade of a spreading chestnut tree.

Having to cancel a week of camp last year, we also know firsthand the disappointment and heartbreak it caused many of our campers. It is not our intention to “steal” campers from B.C. Easter Seals Society but rather to offer an option this year to those campers who will not be able to attend Camp Squamish and Camp Shawnigan. We accept campers age 14 and older; we don’t have an upper age limit.

For information on our summer camp sessions and how to register, please click on “Camper Info.”   If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at campdirector@lionscamphorizon.org

We look forward to assisting you any way we can.
